Wardrops’ Georgian-History and Present
On November 12, the National Centre of Manuscripts of Georgia opened an exhibition “Wardrops Georgia – History and Present.” The British ambassador, Justin McKenzie Smith, visited the centre and, together with the guests, viewed archived, Wardrop-related archival material. The event was opened by the Director of the National Centre of Manuscripts Zaza Abashidze, addressing the audience: British Ambassador Justin McKenzie Smith, Chair of the Committee on Education Science and Culture Mariam Jash, Director of Rustaveli National Science Foundation Zviad Gabisonia, Head of Exhibition and Education Unit Nestan Bagauri and Helene Lekevishvili, a Grade XI student at the British-Georgian School. Helen made a special presentation that she will lecture to her peers during the week. The exhibition will last until November 19. The event is dedicated to the 150th anniversary of Marjorie Scott Wardrop and 155th birthday of Oliver Wardrop
